Fact. Relief on the memory axis is being engineered and is partly scheduled. The HBM4 standard released in April 2025 specifies up to 8 Gb/s across a 2048-bit interface for up to 2 TB/s per stack, doubling the independent channels per stack relative to HBM3 [ 18 ] . Whether the relief keeps pace with is the open question, not whether relief exists.
