TSMC, Samsung, and GlobalFoundries Are Building the Same Optical Socket on Three Different Clocks
TSMC stacks logic directly onto photonic chips in volume this year. Samsung's bonded version waits until 2027, its turnkey service until 2029. GlobalFoundries names no date at all — and imec was never keeping a clock.
