Symbols can mean different things in different articles. Definitions below are shown only when an equation guide or its article provides one; otherwise the entry identifies where to read the equation in context.
Real-valued model value: One numerical weight or activation as the model uses it. “Real-valued” means it belongs on the continuous number line: it can be negative, zero, fractional, or positive. In a computer it is stored with finite precision, so the stored float is only an approximation to a mathematical real number.
Symbol R_platform: the risk that the infrastructure carrying a customer’s data and credentials is itself insecure, misconfigured, or non-compliant with a regime the customer is legally bound by.
Symbol r_*: the physical size of the sound horizon at recombination — how far a pressure wave in the primordial plasma could travel before the plasma became neutral and transparent —.
