1859 and 1905: Two Papers That Ended Two Absolutes

The Origin dissolved the fixity of species; special relativity dissolved the fixity of space and time. Both replaced an essence with a relation and won by re-explaining old anomalies — and resistance to both is now a pattern bibliometrics can measure.
